Great mouse, which makes sense because it's Logitech. I had the previous version before this new model and overall I like it.Style, form, and feel are more modern and I like that the control software has been updated and is more visually appealing and easier to use/navigate. It has a slightly lower profile than the previous one, so I find with my mouse pad with wrist support that I need to adjust the placement of my hand so it truly sits on top of the mouse. Not a big deal, total user preference, but something I noticed. The only thing I immediately didn't like was the mouse wheel. I've never been a fan of the smooth scroll setting for the mouse wheel, I like the physical feedback of the 'clicking' or what they call Ratchet fixed scroll setting. The difference between the old model and this one is on the new model the control button seems to be electronic, whereas on the old one it was a physical button you could depress once and it stayed locked. I guess I'm a hard wheel user and noticed it would switch out from the Ratchet to the Freespin setting on its own. Very annoying.I first thought I was accidentally hitting the control button, which is directly below the wheel, so I changed that buttons setting to None, but it kept happening but I figured out how to permanently fix it. In order to truly lock in the Ratchet setting you have to open the control software, go to Point & Scroll, and Disable the SmartShift option. This locks the wheel to whichever setting you prefer under Fixed Scroll Wheel Mode. Now it's locked in and doesn't switch out anymore!
